    Indian Summers: exclusive first look at the new Channel 4 period drama

    The epic 10-part series, set in 1932, tells the story of the decline of the British Empire and the birth of modern India. See the trailer here

    Julie Walters will star in Indian Summers, an ambitious new Channel 4 period drama set around the fight for an independent India.

    The 10-part series, set in 1932, also features Henry Lloyd-Hughes (The Inbetweeners, Madame Bovary), Jemima West (The Borgias), Nikesh Patel (Honour) and Roshan Seth (A Passage to India). It’s due to air in early 2015.
